It worked until 16000hz with headphones, though there was some crackling. After that, all there was was crackling...

I'm under 30...so good seems like my ear damage is pretty equal to the age. That's a cost of playing at high volume levels as a kid...This is also a good test of...."how good Your speakers are"

17000Hz for me. After that, I don't hear anything.

It seems a little funny that they do it on YouTube in an Mp3 format, I think a lossless file would've reproduced those higher frequencies better...

If you go to the YouTube page and read the comments and the video notes...it seems that this is a fairly useless test...amusing reading however.

One note written under the video clearly states : NOTE: The 19,000 Hz frequency has been lost due to YouTube compressing the file.

And the kid who is 12 and can't hear the under 30 sound. laugh.gif

Fun thing is, I just had my audiogram on Wednesday when I went to the doc to make molds for my new in ear monitoring system.

Actually it turns out that as Darius said, I have some damage to my hearing due to frequent exposure to high decibel levels for an extended number of years - as Jamie Cullum would say it ... Blame it on my youth tongue.gif

Here's how an audiogram looks like:
