I did another take (with my 7 string) based on the previous take:

QUOTE (Cosmin Lupu @ Sep 24 2013, 09:54 AM) *
Thanks mate - will try to come up with something this weekend smile.gif That track is so good, I wanted to ask you if it would be ok to use it for a nice cause, but unfortunately my time is my enemy and I don't think it's a doable project on such a short notice.

As you may've heard - in my country there is a huge turmoil because of the cyanide gold mining scandal and from the beginning of this month, there are tens of thousands rallying on the streets each night to protest against the law that would allow this project to destroy a beautiful region of Romania, by a gold mining company. About 4 mountains would be destroyed out of greed and political machinations... I wanted to bring my support to the cause against the project by convincing all my guitarist friends here in Romania, to lay down a little lead part and we could share it as the Romanian Guitar Power against the Rosia Montana cyanide mining smile.gif That was my plan and I wanted to ask if you would agree to let us use the track.

of course you can Cosmin, you may use it however you want.

Hey Pat - thank you bunches, man!

Ben - I like the new one better as well - it looks like that 7 string suits you best wink.gif

As I've said before, it's weird, cause the strat is set up so beautifully and is so easy to play.

Here's another take, but I only have the video and not the audio, so just use the other take:

Once again mate - you have very nice articulation skills! I like the way in which you hold a note, let it breathe and then vibrate it wink.gif Good work!

Yes! Finally done! biggrin.gif I hope I made it in time, I am so eager to join this collab biggrin.gif For some reason, Soundcloud is failing at uploading my solo only file (Probably because its a big wave file), so I uploaded it on mediafire, I hope it wouldn't be much of a problem? smile.gif

Hi, I wanted to clean my take up a bit (there are some small unwanted noises) but I haven't had the time to record again.

Feel free to add effects to this.

...and I really like the take Darius did, it's great, but I guess that is why he is an instructor.

Hey Sam - yes, you won biggrin.gif I will place mine tomorrow, but in the mean time, after listening to your take, I wanted to suggest that you should focus a bit more on the bends as they are a little under the pitch sometimes. And also, the timing seems unsure - if you want you could re-do it, but it's good to keep an eye out on things in the future in what concerns this wink.gif

Hey mate - your tone, in this bare state reminds me a little of Bumblefoot's clean tone biggrin.gif

Yeah I went all "Tool" on this tongue.gif But on a serious note, I had these lines in my head, but I didn't have time to refine them, and now I'm trying to record my Axemen take, so I don't know if I'll have time to re record sad.gif

I'm hoping these mistakes won't be present in my axemen take

Hey mate - it's better indeed, but still, I can feel some tuning issues - what happened to the guitar?

Ah, Sam, I understand - but my suggestion would be to never record something until you are 100% happy with it and confident that THAT, would be the maximum you can give at THAT point in time wink.gif Keep this in mind and you will only win smile.gif

Im not too sure tbh. Im due to book it in for some re-fretting work this week, could really do with new strings as well but due to the re-fretting being imminent Ive just left the old ones on a bit too long. Maybe its something to do with that.
