> Rules

Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Congrats on Your first vid! smile.gif Very nice tone and playing. You also respect the listener and made Your guitar be in tune but...there are some tuning issues depending on the way You make vibrato and bends. I think it flows a bit too much around correct pitch. AS far as Ben is one of most active instructors here I think He'll give You very detailed support smile.gif Well done smile.gif

Hey there mate! Welcome to the REC zone wink.gif

I think that as an ensemble, your take is building up nicely, but in the lead part - the articulation elements - bending and vibrato - still need a lot of work. Also, in the lead part, you should focus on making the portion around min 01:00 - 01:06 sound more defined!

Keep rocking,

Hi mate! Nice first take! I think that your video and audio setting are very good for REC! Well done. Regarding your playing, I agree with Cosmin and Darius about the pitch and articulation issues mainly in the solo section. Work on that and you will be mastering this one.
Keep on the good job! wink.gif

It's great to see you submit your first REC ! And also double cool that it's this lesson !

Ok, your rhythm work is good. Try to match my way of playing the main riff if you can. After playing the note on the D string, you need to pause slightly to separate that note from the notes that follow.

In the solo, it will sound more like Dave and more like the lesson if you use your neck pickup.

Work on the string bending and timing of the phrases. Some of them lag behind the beat a little bit.

Overall, very good take.. I hope to see another !
