> Rules

Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi mate! Good job on this lesson! There are just details to improve to make this lesson sound top level. Here we go:

- 00:02 - 0010: You are playing the right notes here but you are not playing the micro bends and vibrato used by Stephane in the original lesson which makes the phrasing much more expressive. Concentrate on this details as well as dynamics and groove.

-00:28: That slide could be clearer.

Besides there two parts I think that you can give the overall more dynamics and a cooler groove.

Please have in mind that I'm being very strict with the analysis, you are very close! Keep on the good job! wink.gif

Really good take. I prefer your tone on this one as well because there's a little bit of grit and you can really hear the single coils smile.gif

Gab's pointed a couple of useful details for you so I won't repeat again. Good work !

Hey mate - I also think you did a pretty good job as an ensemble, but the devil is in the details, so focus on what Gabe and Ben pointed out and this should bring things to ultimate shape wink.gif

Like guys said - devil sits in the details. You did great job with getting this lesson done in the technical aspects. For me personally it's better when You leave some headroom for treble to get more agresive tone while playing hard accents, at the same time getting a half of warmth of the tone knob and very soft picking equally. For now (and for my taste) that balance is directed a bit too much at the tone knob responsible for all warmth. Of course the tone thing is so subjective and You can have Your own thoughts on this.

Gabirel has a good point about mico bends and vibrato which seems to be details but could give a lot of flavour to all the take.

Well done smile.gif Waiting for 2nd take to the previous lesson smile.gif
