Started this in the summer before I went on holiday, only just got around to getting a rough recording done. Thought i'd post it here to give my ears a break. Any feedback appreciated; mixing, arrangement etc. Dunno why but the first guitar hit is really bright sounding to me, can't find anything that causes it. Probably just a compression thing. Still gotta work on the transitions after the solo and taking some synth parts out maybe. https://soundcloud.com/socky42/electro-rock-solo-backing Heres a backing track for download (just the solo part), 8 bars at 108 BPM, usable for jamming. I only used G Blues for my solo, but I guess G minor will work too? This post has been edited by Socky42: Oct 4 2013, 09:49 PM |

Wou! I really like the style and the energy of this track. I think that it sounds very fresh and modern. Great job!!
Regarding mix, It could sound fatter, I think that the problem is that the rums are a bit "small" and the track deserves more powerful & fatter drums. Maybe you can just try another drum set? -------------------- My lessons

I've had an EP written for a while now, if I ever get round to recording it, I guess i'll just throw this in there as a bonus track
