Started this in the summer before I went on holiday, only just got around to getting a rough recording done. Thought i'd post it here to give my ears a break.

Any feedback appreciated; mixing, arrangement etc.

Dunno why but the first guitar hit is really bright sounding to me, can't find anything that causes it. Probably just a compression thing.

Still gotta work on the transitions after the solo and taking some synth parts out maybe.

Heres a backing track for download (just the solo part), 8 bars at 108 BPM, usable for jamming.

I only used G Blues for my solo, but I guess G minor will work too? laugh.gif

Wou! I really like the style and the energy of this track. I think that it sounds very fresh and modern. Great job!!

Regarding mix, It could sound fatter, I think that the problem is that the rums are a bit "small" and the track deserves more powerful & fatter drums. Maybe you can just try another drum set?

Very intense song, almost could fit an action game soundtrack smile.gif I didn't really notice the guitar being 'bright' to be honest. Are you planning to make it longer or is this the final length?

I think its just the way I mixed the drums, i'll play around with it. Thanks for the suggestion.

Nope, this is the final length. Wanted to get back into making YouTube videos and shorter songs seem to work better there.

I've had an EP written for a while now, if I ever get round to recording it, I guess i'll just throw this in there as a bonus track laugh.gif

Bonus track smile.gif Hmm, that makes me think that the EP is not an instrumental, maybe? Can you show us more tracks or is it a surprise? biggrin.gif
