So here we go again, a 50 sec long backing track in A minor, 168 bpm called "The Glam Project". Please don't play in the first 4 beats when sending your final take as it won't fit into the end mix, (I could probably make it work but I'm too lazy).
Get your glitz and glam on and send me your hair metal solo smile.gif

hope you enjoy jamming to this as much as I do \m/ smile.gif

Hey Patrik, you did it again smile.gif Great backing!!!
This kind of style reminds me about Darek's lesson Metalcore Chops #2 smile.gif
If I have some inspiration I'll give it a try. I'm not good to improvise on metal stuff but I like to be a part in your collabs.

Monica - maybe you can work on your rhythm chops for this and create a sort of theme that is both rhythmic and melodic in the same time - how about that approach? Something that will stick to the listener's ear, perhaps? smile.gif

Ha,ha....your idea it's very cool but you know very well that my palm muting it's somewhere lost in the space laugh.gif The melodic line for backing is almost ready. Now you make me thinking at your idea and I don't know how to add some rhythm chops between my melodic parts ohmy.gif Offf......intriguing idea and now I see this like a challenge smile.gif
I'm pretty sure in the end this palm muting on the rhythm chops and that "surprise lick" (sweep lick) from Darek's lesson will be killing me biggrin.gif

Hi Monica, as Cosmin said, try some repeated melodic rhythm patterns, or if you like just play to the second part and if you like I can double the length of that section (that goes for any of you who'd like to participate).
Hope that helps smile.gif
Oh and thank you biggrin.gif

I will try something with Cosmin's idea (of course I will try but I'm not sure yet if I will can do that)biggrin.gif
Thank you so much Patrik for your thought to made double the length for the second part smile.gif I really appreciate, but don't worry your backing it's perfect in first version. I made today all improvisation and I like how it sound smile.gif
You will gonna have my take next weekend or maybe earlier wink.gif

Thank you Cosmin, this is nice of you smile.gif Yes, who know, maybe we have the same ideas, like twin brothers wink.gif
You know in the first Patrik's collab we hade a similar idea for the start. This was cool smile.gif I think both had in mind to made some "noise" in Jeff Beck style smile.gif

Hey you guys - here's what I had in mind - I wanted to redo it when I realized that you can't see all of the neck tongue.gif but I think it's easy enough to spot by ear - so give it a go, ok? What do you think?

Thank you Cosmin for video, very interesting idea. But when you said rhythm chops I thought at some riffs parts between melodic parts. That combination confused me smile.gif
