Here is a little demo of mine. It's a budget condenser mic - Audio-technica AT2020 which does kick ass IMHO. I use it for a few years now. Our friend - Jim Sekford seems to use it too smile.gif Great for home studio - also has huge advantage - it handles very high volume levels. Pair of those make awesome job as an overheads while recording drums. It's cheap as hell but funny thing - when I choose it I didn't know how much it costs. It sound way better than more expensive AKG C3000 (lots of unpleasant "nose middle" freqencies boosted...not the good way like Neuman does)

The guitar itself is a cheap electro-classic I bought for touring (You know - the one You don't cry while You loose it, but yet doesn't make You mad while playing). A had to put some work to it but it was worth. I bought it as a second grade. I fixed the electronics, add some more wood on the bridge (to inscrease strings heigh and make the saddle slot more precise), made fret leveling and full set-up. Now I own cheap but well working instrument for little amount of money. Also...after some tests I can say this again. Good nylon strings MAKES difference. Much bigger then we can feel while comparing different steel strings. This one is powered with high tension Savarez strings 540 ?(don't have the pack now to make sure).

BTW...that's a little, simple and not so original yet composed by me, piece of music smile.gif Enjoy smile.gif

I read today more information about this condenser mic and you have right it's cheap. It's good to know this because lately I tried to find a good offer between quality and price.

About this "simple" (these are your words not mine) composition, sounds really beautiful smile.gif The part that start at 1:54 gives me a very good mood and makes me to think to put on my "to buy" list an electro acoustic guitar wink.gif You have right and have some magic in their tone rolleyes.gif

Well done, that's excellent on every front.
Thanks for the tip, it sounds fantastic and is a very good price, even cheaper than the c1000 that I use for overheads etc.

I truly like this mic and it was selected even while comparing to much more expensive range. If any of you need a budget but nice sounding mic. Also...has a great signal to noise ratio. There are some models 2050 (?) that are just a little more expensive and have even less noise + some signal cut option (-20 dB) and HPF filter built-in. I had some tests with Behringer C series but those Were very harsh.

Thank You. I did a few demo recording for others...unfortunately the backup is gone so I can post it here sad.gif but those are really resistant for high volume
