Hey mate biggrin.gif As I said in the PM - you have good chops but it would be great if you would also think about developing a more musical approach. For instance, thinking of a theme and building around it wink.gif Bringing something to the table that will stay in the listener's mind - double wow! They will say - hey! This guy's got the chops and he also wrote a catchy line/song!

Very good playing. I would try to create some even stronger melody lines , as Cosmin said. I was expecting to be confronted with non stop picking / sweeping but it was actually pretty well structured.

There's a couple of bends in there that don't do anything for me, probably because they bend from the root to the 9th.. basically the last one you do and one more earlier in the piece. They don't go anywhere musically.. it would be much better if you were to bend to a note like the minor 3rd instead. That would at least give the satisfaction of resolving for the end smile.gif

Your techniques' real good though, sounds like you could take your pick of some pretty high level lessons to work on !

Hi mate!! Welcome to the site and the forum! I agree with the other instructors about your playing. You have a very impressive technique, everything is played perfectly and your tone is very cool. I think that the backing is a bit linear and that's the reason why you find difficult to create more melodic phrases that evolve in any sense so I would suggest you to choose a backing that also has some chord progression variations.

Okay thanks a TON! Appreciate the feedback!

It was my first attempt at recording both video and audio so I just kind of wanted to see if it would work. Totally agree that the phrasing/melody needs work. And changing the pitch of those bends is an easy fix Ben! Thanks again guys!

For a first video - I think you rock mate!

Start working on the phrasing and you'll be making progress fast, out of what I'm seeing biggrin.gif
