This is the building site of a HUGE church/cathedral which is somewhere over the road from my house. It's a very controversial project as it requires BIG BIG funds, which are taken away from building hospitals or other things which are far more important than this church. The people are revolting more and more against the Romanian Orthodox Church as an organization, for their opulence and money wasting, so the evolution of this whole thing will be very interesting to see.

You can imagine how will be when that stupid project will be done and will beat the bells? I think you will gonna replace your windows with bricks laugh.gif laugh.gif
I have a small church besides my block and they change the old and big bell with a small bell. I don't know from what material it is made but the noise it's hellish biggrin.gif It's sound like a alarm of war begin biggrin.gif Every day I hope, that in one day somebody will steal the bell smile.gif

The first thing I thought of was this set up that used to sit across the street from my work. Somebody had a couple carnival type basketball hoops set up facing each other with manikins sitting on them. Have no idea why. biggrin.gif I wish it was still there to take a picture of.

Wow those are some serious alien invasions creature/advertising! Once a year, we might have a huge goofy Santa for Christmas sitting on a store, but that's about it here. Quite lame really...

This is about as much landmark as we get in NZ,
as youths we where attempting to create an entire cliff face into looking a bit like a skull down at Piha Beach (where I like to go surf):

I'll quit after this but I was going through some old photos to scan and I found one that is a 'must'.
Outside of L.A. at the start of the dessert (near Palm Springs/Joshua Tree). That's my wife in the lower right.
