Hi There,
First you say you now the A minor Pentatonic - do you know all the boxes? If not, start there. Second, if you know the shapes you can move them around to get any pentatonic scale you need, in case you weren't aware of that. I messed around with my GT-8 and got a much warmer, clearer tone out of it... I guess that's not really an "improvement", but it made me happy!
Let's see, I finished learning the intro to Cliffs of Dover by Eric Johnson, working on the rest still,and started learning Steve Vai's Christmas Time is Here...  Thought it would be a nice thing to play over the holidays.I think I've improved a lot on speedpicking, I'm hitting each note much clearer now, and have sped up a bit. I've also been working on improvising in scales other than the minor pentatonic, but I'm afraid I haven't gotten very far in that... Anyways, that's all I can think of at the moment! My playing hasnt improved much since i dont have enought time to practice because i play ice hockey 5 days week. But i hope that it will be much better when i get my new guitar that i am going to order today.
