Hey bro - if you already have something, why not share it and we can help out with quick suggestions, so that maybe you will have it ready for tomorrow smile.gif

Great style mate! You gave some Post Rock style to this competition. I like your tone and the use of effects. It sounds very atmospheric and warm. What effects did you use?

Thanks for joining!

There is my take, i should work on it a bit more but i will not to be in home till 2nd January.

hey mate! great to find this one finally here! I think that the strong work that we did can be noticed on the composition of this one. I hope that you agree with me and that this new approach affects on your next compositions. smile.gif

It cracked me up big time when I read this comment by Ben biggrin.gif I tried to do the one note solo but I couldn't do it, but instead I came up with a one fret solo biggrin.gif biggrin.gif This is just very stupid so it doesn't need to be in the competition but I hope Ben sees it as he gave me the inspiration tongue.gif Does anyone have a one note idea ? biggrin.gif

hehehe you did it!! The one fret solo!! It's a very creative take mate. I think that it sounds natural, it doesn't seem to be a solo that keeps there just to be different, it sounds like a real solo. Dimebag would have recorded a solo like this one. Well done!

whats the worst that could happen....... I'll give it a go smile.gif

Hey mate! Nothing wrong happened! Just a very tasty composition. Thanks for joining!

Thanks Gab, it did sound a little post rock like in the end tongue.gif I used a few effects here and there, I had an analog delay through the whole thing, but during the intro and outro I used a Slow Attack effect. And I also used a low gain tubescreamer (the Biyang one) in the middle section smile.gif

Hey everyone - we are back with competition results!

First of all, I'd like to say that the judges had a very hard time choosing the winners due to the overall high quality of every take. This means that you all did a great job in this competition! You have all submitted unique and strong takes, your playing was expressful, simple, yet effective. We'd like to encourage you to take this approach even further and apply it to your next collaboration take, jam-with-friends or your original songs.

Without any further ado, here are the results :

1st prize

Caelumamittendum

***

2nd prize

Monica Gheorghevici

***

3rd prize

DeGroot

***

We also like to give a honorable mention to these 3 more takes as well which we found extremely cool!
