Let's say you won a crap load of money which enabled you to hire 1-3 guitar/music instructors to teach you once or twice a week and set out your practice routine (obviously you'd have the free time to devote to practising).

Who would you choose?

Oh and they have to be living, money doesn't enable resurrection!

I would go with Victor Wooten! smile.gif

Love his philosophy of teaching and approach + he plays music and techniques that sounds very interesting to me and I would be motivated to learn more about.

This is a simple thing for me because I know exactly how I want to sound my music and my playing smile.gif

The first it's definitely Andy Timmons
The second......haha, the second it's already my instructor in GMC tongue.gif And trust me guys I'm not kidding, you can ask my family and my friends. 1 year ago, I wished Darek to be my instructor. After he put his takes for Mayones Duncan competition my wish was more bigger. This desire increased every time when I listened a new take from his Youtube channel but I never thought that my wish will became reality wink.gif

For me I think Andy Wood could give me all the hot country, shred and hard rock skills I want, Pete Thorn would be good to learn from, obviously Paul Gilbert would be on the list and maybe some time with Andy James too even though his style is not completely what I'm after.

1. Satriani/Vai - these two are basically clones to me.
2. Joe Bonamassa - absolutely love his Blues/Rock style. (Bleez, David Gilmour is a very close runner up here for me)
3. This one is tough but I would probably say Steve Morse. Just love his style.

Honestly I could list 50+ names here, which would also include the instructors on this site.

yeah, Im dont think Id actually be able to play guitar in front of Dave Gilmour unsure.gif but to sit and watch him would be amazing enough.

Haha I hear you man. I could offer some clumsy strumming for him to play to but that's probably about it. laugh.gif

1.Andre Olbrich
2.Marcus Siepen, but he's here so that works
3.Kai Hansen

and yeah, I feel weird playing guitar for my boyfriend, so that would likely be a big issue
