Hi all, on My Parker guitar the 10th fret has a ridge on it! Is that a easy fix or should I get a guitar tech to shave it down for me? Honestly I am not a handyman by no means and I'm thinking let a pro do it, any suggestions would be awesome ? Thank you

Messing with frets looks too simple comparing to what it is in reality. I do the fret jobs myself and I remember how long it took to make correct diagnosis and get some expirience. Better go to the tech. You might mess things up and inscrease the cost of repair smile.gif

Well said! Darius and jstcrson are spot on here. I wouldn't suggest you try to fix this until you have gained more experience. If you want to gain some experience, get a really cheap guitar with bad frets and start spending some time learning/practicing on your skills at guitar repair. Until then, take it to a pro. Usually kind pros are a wealth of information and you can learn a TON just for the asking.
