Tonyk - Just a little tip. When You want us to see the video embed in You post You have to remove everything before the "=". In Your case:
del: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=
leave: 7bRVTE5dpSY
and it all will be ok with the video smile.gif You can edit Your post smile.gif

As for the playing seems like the track is a challenge but Your doing Your best to prepare the take and this is a very good attitude. Some of the parts You choose to play are very hard to play on the kind of distortion You use. Maybe try to add some gain to get more compression and sustain. This will solve a few issues smile.gif

Hey everyone - who else is going to enter? smile.gif
Only a few bars over the backing track should work.

Please don't forget about the deadline of 25th of January

Hey Tim! Great job over this lesson. I know that it can be tricky to create a solo over this one but the result that you got is very positive. The solo keeps my attention from the begining to the end. Well done!

I agree with Gabe here - it has a lot of dynamic combinations but, the next step in your improvising skills is to tie things up properly by making the licks flow - you need to become more aware of tying up the licks between one another smile.gif

Hey Tony - I think that picking just one part of the backing would've helped a lot, as the more you ground you need to cover, the more difficult it is - you can always pick a smaller part and we'll see what you did over that part and help you improve it - there are still 6 days left smile.gif Just let us know smile.gif

Hi tony! Your composition is very nice. I think that if you work a bit on polish the licks, you will get a very nice take! Maybe adding some more drive to your tone can help you to get a smoother playing. Thanks for your hard work! smile.gif

Hey Tony smile.gif I think that your ideas are nice but they are not being executed properly, so regardless of which part you would go for, I think it's good either way. If you notice, the track has three different stages/parts: the beginning, the middle and the ending.

The beginning -> 0:55
The middle -> 0:55 - 01:12
The ending -> 01:13 - Finish

Pick one up and we can polish the licks and try to get them as close to perfection as possible, deal?

Hey guys! Just 4 days to deadline! Remember that you don't have to solo in the whole backing to be part of this one. You can choose some bars and record a melody over it and you will be part of the final video! And remember to check my tips:

So...get through some tips of Gabriel and mine and rock on wink.gif We will repeat this many times I think but...You can choose even just a 4 to 8 bars and try to work on such a short part to create cool add for the collaboration smile.gif

Hey mate!

This is very nice smile.gif I think you had good direction and you felt a nice way to divide your playing in such a way that you fit the phrases nicely over the track. And your legato chops are in nice shape!

Todd here wink.gif I started at the classical breakdown in the middle. Great bit! Begging for a bit of Yngwieesque shredding in there so I went a bit nuts. smile.gif Here is the result. Vid and files to follow!
