I think I understand what you mean as such threads an other forums can carry some stupid intentions...but although I didn't watch all of them yet, personally I didn't take the post in a negative way. There is also a GMC'er there too which although I didn't comment much before, her progression is very inspirational.

Actually I encourage male students to watch the better/musical video's cause I noticed a while ago female guitar players seems to control their wrist better than most male.

Like; when fast picking almost all beginner male guitar players rely on their arm muscles to get to such speed which is a huge mistake as it leads to some problems later on but (and its not easy to teach them wrist control after a certain of level) while female guitarist adapt the right picking techniqe right from the start.

Hopefully it will be taken as an inspiration to the female GMCers. I know many guys with small hands and fingers often lament they'll never be any good because of it and girls tend to have smaller hands so must do the same I guess. At least it shows it can be done

What I don't understand about this is Angus / ACDC are pretty famous for basing a lot of their songs in A using open chords yet she does it in G with a capo on the 2nd fret, making it awkward for herself.

I'm proud of myself for noticing that, or even noticing the guitar for that matter

How nice ! yeah I liked her song because in addition to so many good points she had that Yngwie Malmsteen sounding theme in it, if you listen to song "Black star" you'll know what I mean, very nice video as well. Give our best to Jessica Gardlund. biggrin.gif

Monica... the piece you played struck a chord with me, I was moved by it one may say smile.gif I like your sound, phrasing and expression. It certainly gives a good impression of you as a sensible guitar player.
