This is another favorite lesson of mine made by Marcus and Kris. Killer improv and playing!!! Some of these licks combinations gives me a chill mood smile.gif Great "Nocturnal Vision Lesson"!!! smile.gif
This style of backing it would fit great for a collab, right guys? biggrin.gif The first minute from backing it's more than awesome and I guess it can be use for both: melodic and fast licks wink.gif

This is the lesson that brought me to GMC. It's Marcus Lavendell's Evening Blues, I've been on the verge of a REC take for this lesson for a couple years now.

So many can't pick a favorite. I like to do different styles from maiden to foo fighters now I'm on poppa chubby. Even got some hard metal I haven't gotten to. My goal is to be a versatile guitar player. Since I like so many different Styles I wanna play all different styles.

This is why I think that a good approach should be based on styles from a point on smile.gif

For instance - Modern Metal Rhythm Playing - what do you need to cover in order to be able to play that?

Riffs, time signatures, chord shapes and voicings, popular scales and modes and seeing them applied in some lessons 'in the style of'

Pick no more than 10 lessons (from simple to difficult) and stick to them religiously over a pre-determined time span smile.gif At the end, draw the line and see where you are at. But be honest and stick to the task at hand. Did you get there when you were close to the deadline? It means you know yourself and you are good to go to the next style smile.gif You didn't get there? It means you need more time and a re-evaluation of the selected lessons. You did get there VERY fast? It means you underestimate yourself and you need to push more smile.gif
