Uh oh - it looks like you have a lot of stories to tell - any traveler has
Why was Paraguay scary, mate? I was expecting Mexico to be scary, as I heard a lot of weird stories about that country...
Mexico is
very scary, especially in the North. My wife was born there, and even she won't go there. The drug cartels have turned the Northern part of the country into a war zone. They send drugs, and we give them guns. Too bad to; because it is a beautiful country; with a very vibrant culture. The food is amazing to.(Worst Mexican food I ever had was in Italy, but that's another story) I was in the Misiones region of Argentina a few years back to see the Iguazu Falls. The falls are still the most amazing thing I think I've ever seen; like a garden of eden. Since the town of Puerto Iguazu is on the border of Brazil, and Paraguay; I got the bright idea of visiting Paraguay (even after I was warned) to get my passport stamped. We entered the city of Ciudad del Este from Brazil. Of course there was no customs(That should of been a warning); it's really a lawless region. There were tons of people everywhere buying cheap knockoffs, it was dirty. I never took my hands out of my pockets because I was afraid of getting pick pocketed. A lot of unsavory characters were scoping me out, following me. I thought I was gonna get stabbed. People were super pushy trying to get you to buy stuff. You could tell that it was mafia controlled. Later on I learned that Hezbolla militants actually reside there to. I was so happy to get back to Argentina. I heard from somebody that Asuncion is interesting; I'm not sure I'm gonna go out of my way to find out. Then again I might. Spanish isn't the primary language there; it's Guarini. In fact it's the only country in the America's that primarly speaks it's indigenous language. Ironically some of the best music for the guitar comes from there primarily influenced by the Guarini harp. Mangore Barrios was born in that region, and he was an amazing guitarist. Don't get me wrong; I was only in one city; it doesn't mean the whole country is like that. On the other hand Buenos Aires was a great city. The steak is still the best I ever had. It put American steak to shame. Uruguay is beautiful to, and very safe. I actually wanna buy a home there when I retire.(since it's too damn expensive here)
