Hey everyone. I would like to share a piece I am working on. It's like the solo style of Andy James in which the guitar tells the story. It will be mixed with technical guitar lines. I really feel I'm pushing my limits and storytelling as a song writer. I hope you enjoy. I am still building the song. I will find some harmony to go into the chorus to make it sound bigger.

Found this on SC earlier today. I like it ! cool.gif

But I suggest adding maybe couple speedy runs to spice it up. You already have nice bends, legato licks and bend tappings.

Looks like your track has too those non-person (bots) likes and re-posts. I have noticed that these appear almost immediately when your upload is finished. I even tried to find a option to remove those but no luck sad.gif

Sounding very nice, Brandon. Will be interesting to hear how this evolves. Writing instrumental guitar tracks can be very challenging so this should be good for you to improve as a composer and as a player. I'm always composing stuff that is just beyond the edge of my ability so I have to practise hard at it until I can do it. I'm also enjoying the sound of the 8 string !

Yeah it's always hard to do those speedy runs. I'm sure I'll find something. I'm glad you guys like it. I'm not sure where those spam bots came from either. It is sure annoying. Kinda like the fake likes on Facebook pages.

Hey mate smile.gif Ville is right about the speedy licks to connect the long note based phrases with. Check out Marco Sfogli - he does it really well and you can most certainly find inspiration in the licks contained in this song:

Hi Brandon! Your composition is very promising. You already have the soul of the story which is the most important thing. Adding speed passages should be just to embellish the tune. Take your time to slowly arrange it. You can start adding fast passages that connect the different melodies and then taking some short phrases and replacing them with faster ideas that keep their essence.

I listened to this yesterday and I think you're going in a very nice direction with your music, and I like the solo, but I'll agree with what the others have said, it could need some speedier runs to connect the phrases and spice things up a bit.

Yeah man! I noticed that bot thing too with a track I posted last night , got one bot like right away and now there are three, and two of them have a pic of a chick in a bikini with a triple X at the end of the name. Not liking this, it's gonna make my lady get the wrong idea. dry.gif
We definitely need a way to get rid of those.

Is Soundcloud becoming spammed or something? I for one am rarely using it and I was thinking I should do it more often, but now I am thinking twice, after reading your experiences...
