Hi Cael! Great idea to share this here. We can give you feedback and also other students can take ideas from here. This will also give you an extra motivation to practice and improve. Looking forward your progress.

Thanks, Gabriel. I'm writing down some exercises at the moment that I plan to record on video for people to play along to. Will add them one by one as I get them done.

Thanks, Amitai. I'll record some videos tomorrow with the warm up and possibly some other things as well to really get going on this. I'm considering doing some "practice with Cael" videos with the same lick played in say 70 bpm, 75, 80 and so on, with the lick being played the amount of time I would feel it needed to be practiced (it might be a repeating lick going for say 2 minutes straight in 16th notes at 100 bpm). Sort of like Frank Gambale's Chop Builder. I've always found it's much more fun to play along with someone, and most instructional videos doesn't do just that, rather they show something slow once, then fast and that's it. And that has it's place of course, but it might be inspiring for some to have a "virtual" practice buddy. smile.gif

I'll create a video today for you to follow along. It might make it even more fun! smile.gif

The idea is somewhat inspired by Frank Gambale's Chop Builder, which also has you playing along.

Being organized is always a good and surefooted way towards success smile.gif You could shoot a weekly video of all your exercises, to see the improvement and to keep yourself on the wave! smile.gif Post it here and share your insights with us, deal?

Hah, no worries.

I was thinking these should maybe be moved into the student instructor sub forum. Will have to see about that.

EDIT: I've decided to move these lessons to the Student Instructor Forum. Have a look there for more.

I think since it is in the Student instructor forum Fran has to accept it first. That's the "bad" thing about that subforum, but in terms of quality of the lessons there it makes sense.

Ah, so actually it's not yet active smile.gif I see, I see smile.gif I was searching and searching and I felt a little silly for not finding it, thinking, '... man after all these years, you got lost in here?'
