Mar 4 2014, 12:11 PM	Competitions Coordinator - Up the Irons Posts: 5.462 Joined: 17-February 08 From: Stavanger, Norway	I just traded in my two Gibsons (Custom Shop R8 '58 reissue and Gisbon LP Recording Guitar '72) for a couple of Fender Custom Shop gems. I've always wanted one, but never found the "right one", you know.. This time however, between heaps of already worn/reliced/beaten/destroyed Fender Custom Shops, these two stood out. No relic, you know like they made guitars in the old days... Like new :-) I had my doubts when I said goodbye to my Gibsons (I've lost faith in them basically, Gibsons Quality Check have went down the drain over the years. Sometimes they make some great guitars that just punch you in the face, but not too often anymore in my opinion), and picked up my new Fenders. They were wonderful in the store, but you know how it is. Sometimes they don't fit your equipment etc., and once theexcitement dies down it's not as great as you though in the store. Not this time however, and I couldn't be happier, because they look and sound like a million bucks. I was the same when I bought my G&L, felt great and sounded great at the Shop but I was unsure as to how it would sound through my rig but I was beautifully surprised when I got it home and even more so in Live situations. I don't know much about vintage stuff to be honest, but I can appreciate the craftsmanship. But I sat down for a few minutes now, and recorded a couple of riffs with my new Telecaster. One guitar 85% Left, and one guitar 85% Right. All effects are from my pedalboard (delay, overdrive, compressor). Both pickups for the left guitar, and neck pickup for the right guitar. Not perfectly played, but it gets me the rhythm tone I want. I just love this guitar :-) Tele1.mp3 ( 2.69MB ) Number of downloads: 129 I'll record the Jazzmaster and the JM with the Tele in the next few days. Same settings on Amp and Pedals. The JM is a bit brighter, but still have that unmistakable Fender sound. Both comes to their right when tweaked accordingly, but I wanted to hear them at the same settings. 2 guitars, 1 left and 1 right.
