Hi smile.gif
https://soundcloud.com/fireball100/im-drained-of-my-sanity

I'm back with another song. This one is a remake of an oldie. It's back in the day when I was producing more hard rock than metal, more like transitioning. I was a huge fan of Trond Vold at the time too. I added some sweet elements that were not in the original.

Here is the original video. Song starts at 1:55.

I have yet to write vocals, hence why the guitar solo is pushed back into the mix. Still working on the mix, actually. wink.gif

Here is the list of my gear:
Ibanez RG8 guitar
Ibanez SR755 bass
EZmix 2 Guitar Gods for amp sims
Superior Drummer 2.0 Metal Foundry

Any questions, please comment below. wink.gif

Hi Brandon! The new version of the track is killer! Your composition sounds very modern and original. It's great to see you evolving as a composer and arranger that much. Congrats mate!

Very cool song Brandon - I really like your songwriting and the progress you are making on the guitar is very evident.

Here are my first listen impressions on the mix (might be useful for future tweaks) :

The mix doesn't sound very coherent to my ears, sounds like instruments are battling each other for the frequencies and volume. Try cleaning up the frequencies of each instrument, this will help achieve more clear separation between instruments and you'll have easier time balancing them in volume and mix to sound good together. Mix is slightly cold sounding (this is personal preference though).
