Just a short example that a melodic guitar solo doesn't need to be shredded all the time. :-D
An excerpt from my upcoming vocal ballad with my Band TAURUS, stay tuned for the final version...

These are the "adult" chords underneath the solo:

Hehe! Smart music sir wink.gif As our friend Marius said, a good solo comes from a good chord progression as well!

Many THX, guys!
@Cosmun, absolutely. This is a very important thing: the chords: And because I came from the piano I love to experiment with them a lot and then building a melody around it. This is what I've done on this example as well... ;-)

Sometimes, when I have nothing better to do but kick myself in the teeth, I am thinking how great it would've been if I would've had piano lessons when i was very young. Well, nothing is by accident, so maybe there's a reason why life didn't want that to happen smile.gif Anyway, once again - great, great composition, man!

Great stuff Guido! And a great example of how keeping a solo simple can be very effective. Love the band name since I am a Taurus! smile.gif

Thx so much. You're right. The name TAURUS is just ingenious. I wonder that there's no other band with this name. And of course I'm Taurus too and it's my birthday today :-D

Thx a lot, Cosmin!!!
I wish I could play the whole song for you guys...very, very, very Toto-likish :-D
but the vocals aren't finished yet. So it will take a little time.
