Thanks for the share smile.gif I'm eyeballing one of his 8 string dean guitars currently. I like the shorter scale length he uses on them. Hope it works out and I get one smile.gif

Anyone know what the green phone holder they are using on his neck is. Looks really useful for recording and breaking down technique problems

I had never heard of this guy until this thread was posted and I started watching him on You-Tube. I really like his shredding - and started going through his 2000 shred manifesto yesterday, just watching his finger stretching exercises.

Dude is a freak of nature.

Yep, some of those licks are genuinely upsetting.

To anyone who was blown away by Rusty's licks, this is just to let you know that I'll be covering some Rusty Cooley style picking runs in the video chat tonight from 7pm GMT !

The licks themselves are actually taken from the 30 Misplaced Shredders lesson. The tab and breakdown for Rusty's section can be found on part 21 of the lesson.

Hope to see you there !

He is a killer guitarist. Those camera views are very helpful and useful to see his approach for such an effective technique. I honestly never heard too much of his music. I have seen many videos of him playing but never heard their albums. What can you recommend me? What's his best album or contribution?
