I believe that I have listened to almost every electric guitar virtuoso I can handle including prog rock. Screaming I cant do, just doesn't sit with me. I am Jazzed out and funked out. There seems to be no other music for me to listen to anymore.

Id like a story or good lyrics with good accompaniment. Jeff buckley is a favorite of mine. I will try any type of music. What's out there?

Thanks

YES!

It happens.

When I encounter dudes who only listen to Rush or something I think, "you're missing so much!!".

At this very moment I am listening to Ray Lamontagne, who I love. Folky, bummer kinda thing.

here's bis biggest hit if you're unfamiliar,

What about Steven Wilson's solo album?

The problem with this one is that it's in Spanish, but it's very good music from Argentina. I think that this guy has influences by Buckley in his way of singing:

Switch from listening to the lead guitar music > to actually listening to lyrics > rap, etc...

Then add Family Guy voices for boosting the talent back:

Sorry for the late response. It's hard sometimes on my phone to see the links you guys post. SeeJay I used to just listen to vanhalen and rush/metallica ect... I am glad to have found a world of music. I have popped Ray on playlist and it is a start. Posterboy and Gabriel Thanks I will check them out next! Azzaboi I do listen to rap but I cant play it at work, not sure about the family guy parody bits though. Whats up with that?

Theres not too much guitar in these tracks. Two of my favourite Ian Brown songs, nice groove and really cool lyrics.
