I do write about my pickup mod.s here time to time but if I need a major change (like went from 0.10 to 0.9 strings recently) also one nice trick is changing the trem. angle.

I have a ibanez type floyd system but this should also apply for (Fender like) standard tremolos. Compared to advised or standard position; if angled toward the body the presence increase while the opposite provides more fullness. Keep in mind though the angle change must be very minimal, make barely noticeable adjustments step by step and don't rush for final results if its the first time. I usually give a day or 2 when I make a slight change to the core tone of the guitar.

Don't forget to adjust the intonation though and a slight change in feel of guitar (strings little stiffer when angled to the body) is normal smile.gif
