Hi there
My name is Rhida I am French and I just joined 2 days ago.
I am forty and have played guitar as a hobby for 20 years.
Lot of wasted time and bad habits.
That's why I am here to learn from the instructors and the other students as well. I want to play like my heroes Slash and Gary Moore to name a few.
I've been in the chat room with Kristofer today. Great time for sure!
See you!

Great to see you in the forum Rhida - welcome to GMC! smile.gif

I notice you like strong, singing like guitar leads based on mentioning of Slash and Gary Moore?

Here are some lessons covering their styles :

Slash style lessons
Gary Moore style lessons

Usually the trick with playing singing like melodies is to have a good touch on the guitar and being able to hold the notes ringing long (sustain). Expression tools like vibrato and bending help a lot to emulate powerful vocal like melodies on the guitar.

See you around the forum,
Bogdan

Hi Rhida! If you like Slash and Gary Moore, you would surely like to get to know more about their styles and techniques they are using smile.gif They are both great players making heavy use of bending and vibrato which are very important techniques. I like them too and I would be happy to assist you in your journey smile.gif

I happen to be running a mentoring program in which we could work together on developing the exact things that you are looking for in guitar playing, so if it sounds interesting to you, please take a look here: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/guitar_fo...t=0&start=0 and send me a PM with the answers to the questions meant to give us a good start smile.gif

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Cosmin

Welcome to GMC Rhida. Another thing that fans of Gary and Slash need to develop is a good vibrato and string bending skills. If you need any help on that front try starting with these:

Great to hear you are feeling great! Have you by any chance started to work on a lesson already? If so, which one would that be? smile.gif
