The indonesian guitars are generally not quite as well liked as the Japanese but mostly that's on many of the lower end models such as RG starter series and such. The higher end models and Iron Label are much nicer guitars and have much better quality control in general.

My new fave toy, the neck through ibby I just got a bit ago, is Indonesian and it's pretty darn spiff smile.gif So not all indo guitars are iffy. But some certainly are wink.gif

Yeah, apparently. That's what I'm told. Now, personally I have never had any problems with instruments made wherever in the world, but I'm told the japanese models are better and that they have better quality control. This one plays great though, so I can't complain at all.

EDIT: I think all of the Iron Label series comes from Indonesia, but I might be wrong.

Todd's right - out of what I also know, the best appreciated Ibanez axes are made in Japan. My old JEM is also made in Japan and it's a very well made guitar. Nevertheless, I decided to sell it until next year in June and see how much cash I can get on eBay for it smile.gif
