Am I correct  ? If so, I will build you a thread of your own in which we can focus on developing your electric guitarist skills Sight reading is an amazing skill and if you have a good ear as well, you will never need tabs for anything 15 hours a week means about 2 hrs a day, which if spent practicing healthily, can provide constant progress, so please let me know if you wish to work together and we will tackle a combo of electric playing techniques which will build your basis as an electric player All the best! This week anytime really, as I am off work but i do work full time and have a child so time is tight. My job is very demanding at times. I also have my daily exercises to do for the classical bit. The Sor pieces took about a day to learn but months to get right, my classical guitar teacher is very strict when it come to performance. As I said previously, I have completed Neoclassical Solo For Beginners by Emir Hot but I need a new camera so I have only the wave file. It does not sound great - Neoclassical performance - I am not sure if the clarity was lost in the compression of the wave file to mp3 I had real trouble recording that with the backing track on my PC, so maybe we could start there ...I have a really powerful PC with Adobe Audition on it and a focusrite2i2 but I could not figure out how to get the guitar effects on when recording along with the backing track...so I had to mic up my amp for the effects, connect the amp to the focusrite and then played along with the backing track. I think maybe we could start here as i am really dumb when it comes to home recording...classical guitar is easy; just mic up and play? Here were the challenges I faced with that piece (Neoclassical Solo For Beginners by Emir Hot) 1. Holding a pick and changing the changing the dynamics with it, nails are totally different 2. I am only comfortable holding the guitar in the classical position, standing up is totally dead at this stage. 3. Timing; this was really hard as you can be a bit more flexible when soloing by speeding up and the catching up with the pulse later 4. Bending to hit the note and vibrato; using the wrist; this is totally different when playing vibrato using a classical method 5. Keeping a consistent tone - vary hard 6. Performance nerves is always a killer for me I am working on Neoclassical Etude #1 but it way to fast for me so I am giving up on that as I can only play first 20 bars or so at that tempo...Its beyond my capacity at present I suppose if I had a series of exercises from you I could work on them and submit to the rec forum?
