Hi Gabriel!
I am happy that you can notice my progress. I always practice this lesson over the original lesson because the GuitarPro file is incorrect and has rhythm issues. But I will try to compare my video and the original lesson and so what differences I can notice.

Right now I spend to little time on guitar, it is because I have a job now in the summer but it is over in 10 days.
Now I try to practice between 1 and 1.5 hours each day.
My routine looks like this:
15 min Timing 8th notes
15 min Timing 8th note triplets
20 min Melody Workout
20 min Beginner Solo
10 min Ear Training
The last couple of days, I have not been practicing Timing because I think it is hard, not very fun and I do progress slowly.
I should start practicing timing daily again...

Hi Gabriel!
Here is my ear training results.
Assignment 9
1. Minor 6th
2. Minor 3rd
3. Minor 2nd
4. Minor 3rd
5. Minor 7th
6. Minor 2nd
7. Minor 3rd
8. Minor 6th
9. Minor 7th
10. Minor 3rd

I compared both my take on Beginner Solo and Bear's take and I notice that I do play some phrases too fast and some too slow. So I will just have to keep on practicing smile.gif

Hi Alex, nice take. Your phrasing is getting tastier! smile.gif

There are some moments where the silences are a bit long but other than that I can say that you are doing a very good job exploring and creating with this scale. I like how the phrases evolved, but I would like to hear something like this with shorter silences. What do you think?

The other two files are not working... did you delete them?

Hey Gabriel! smile.gif
How was your Tour with Cirse??

Do you think we can go for new backing and I will have shorter silences in next take? It would be cool if you can recommend me a new backing smile.gif
The files should be fixed now, The first 10 seconds is out of timing.

Hi Alex! The tour was really good. We had more audience than the previous times we've played on this city and we could do 2 gigs. smile.gif

This is a cool backing in E major that I've found:

A cool guitar tone with some sustain will fit great over it. Something around Timmons and Satriani.

About the timing workout, triplets are not tight yet. I think that working at a slower tempo could be a good idea. What do you think?

Hey Gabriel!
Great to hear it was a successful tour smile.gif
What a wonderful backing! Should I use E Major Pentatonic or E Major scale or any other scale?
Yes let's go for a slower tempo. smile.gif

You can play E pentatonic major and E major over this one.

The chord progression is E - B - C#m - A

I hope you recover from you sickness soon and feel better.
Is it just to pick any slower backing track around 70bpm?
Should I keep the question and answer structure in the solo or go for another structure?

Hey Mate!! biggrin.gif
I am back with new stuff. Unfortunately no videos this time because it got dark outside when I practiced and my lightning isn't so good.

https://soundcloud.com/alex-arvedahl/70-bpm-8th-note-triplets
https://soundcloud.com/alex-arvedahl/90-bpm-8th-notes-1
https://soundcloud.com/alex-arvedahl/beginners-corner-20-take-6
This take of the beginner solo isn't so good, I think the rhythm is better but I did not managed to get it in sync with backing.
https://soundcloud.com/alex-arvedahl/melodic-workout-e-cm-b-a
Tell me what you think about this idea, I am not 100% sure about it.

Thank you Gabriel for being my mentor, it is such a pleasure to work with you smile.gif

Hi Alex! thanks for your words! I'm really glad to know that you are enjoying this journey together. smile.gif

I've checked your stuff and I can say that slowly your timing is getting better, but you have to continue the hard work! The triplets are really close at 80 bpm, but the 8th notes at 90 bpm show important problems. Keep working on this.

The beginners corner solo starts really well! Your playing is nice there, and the phrases are played with the right timing. However, starting at 00:37, you lose timing and you never get back so pay attention starting from there.

The melodic workout starts really well! Your phrasing is really nice until around 00:28 where you play some wrong notes. Please keep working on this!

I'd like to add 10 minutes of practice dedicated to each of these techniques:

- Alternate Picking
- Bending
- Vibrato

This would mean 30 extra minutes of practice, and will have a big immpact in your playing on the current solo sections.

Is it possible?
