The notes marked with blue is played with downbeat, the ones marked with black are played with the upbeat and the ones in green are between up and downbeat. Also I have a recorded a video for Part 3. I thought it was quite easy to play along GuitarPro but over the backing it was a bit harder. To me it does not sound totally tight. Then you can also create an extra exercise that combine the last measure of the arpeggio with the first measure of the strumming. So you would have 3 exercises: 1. Arpeggio section 2. I hope you are doing well also I tried to move my thumb and it was better. I recorded two videos yesterday. One for the Acoustic Solo and one for the Goo Goo Dolls. I play the Part 1 and Part 2 of the Goo Goo Dolls at 80 BPM. I think the transition between the Strumming and arpeggio is quite good now. The transition is good! Well done!! And you are also playing the arpeggio section very well. On the other hand, the strumming section is not sounding tight. I have noticed something, when I play the Strumming section then I tap my foot along with the hi hat but when I play the arpeggio section then I only tap it along with the kick or snare. I did a little experiment and tried to not play and just tap my foot, and then I could tap it along the hi hat for the arpeggio part. What do you think about my takes? Your playing is tight, and they have the right feel and dynamics. I think that you can move forward with this lesson. Regarding the 'tap with your foot' thing, I don't think that it's a problem to go with the kick and snare when the drums start. You are following the stronger beats of the 6/8 meter so it really makes sense. If you want to get used to follow the hi hats, the only thing that you can do is to slow down until you can think on both things at the same time, and practice for a while. I have practiced the tapping a bit and it was good that you said that tapping fast is not necessary so I will stick to how I do it now I recorded a video for the part 3 of Goo Goo Dolls. I played the last part of Part 2 as well so I will be able to transition easily. It is at 80 BPM. There are some parts where your timing is not precise, but these parts happen when you have the trickier chord changes so it's just a matter of time. You already can play the right hand pattern, you just need to get more familiar with the chords used. Please continue practicing the changes before increasing tempo.
