> Rules

Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi man, this is one of my favourite GMC lessons !

Your timing is good and your palm muting is nice and chunky, which is the way it should be wink.gif

You seem to be playing the wrong notes on that ascending phrase starting at 0:28

Also, the section after that seems quite muffled, probably due to the gain settings you've got.. or the EQ overall. If there's some way of making your tone clearer that will make your riff work stand out more.

There seems to be a dodgy tuning issue on that last E5 chord.

You've got the skills there in place, you just need to take care of some details like tone and making sure you've memorised the right passages.

Hi friend! Great to see you rocking this one!

This is a very good take that needs 2 main things to be a great take:

- Better guitar tone: This will have a big impact in your take since the sounds is very weak and low fi. I wonder how you recorded this one. Could you please tell me about it at Gab's Army?

- Fixing the phrase at 00:28: The phrase has different notes and timing issues. Please review it! wink.gif

There is nothing more to add, just work on these things and keep rocking.

Hey buddy!

Congrats on your skills and you must know that you surely have what it takes to really make this recording shine wink.gif
You've got great timing, plam muting chops and as the guys said - tone and fixing that phrase are the things to focus on at this point and otherwise, I don't think there's anything else to add.

All the best and keep rocking!

Cosmin
