I dont like tapping with my pick=( unless i want to play something like dragonforce. but I find it atlot easier to control and you get a better sound if u use your finger.

To be honest some of my favorite riffs of theirs are off of Load, but I know most people hate it tongue.gif But anyway:

Jump In The Fire
Fade To Black
Master Of Puppets
Harvester of Sorrow
To Live Is To Die
Of Wolf And Man
For Whom The Bell Tolls

Load was a very well constructed album.I think the fact that it wasent 180 bpm all the time is why people tend to not like it.It was a great album and really showed what james could do with his voice and that Metallica is capible of making different sounding music thats still good.My favorite song off load would have to be The house that jack built or outlaw torn. His vocals are amazing all throughout the song

Hey Slash -

You can get more of a tap sound if you slightly slide your pick as you tap. It takes a little practice but it can bring out the tap note. It's almost as if you're trying to scratch some dirt off your 19th fret with your pick really fast! If that makes sense! lol

Just my two cents!

Thanks man, I'll be sure to try it out.

i think my favorite from Load is Hero of The Day, although i prefer the S&M version.
