My fiance got me a new leather guitar strap for xmas, and I went to put on my strap locks. However, they do not fit through the holes at all. I have just basic Jim Dunlop strap locks. Do they make smaller ones that fit through the holes of fat leather straps? Or am I going to need to cut the leather out a tiny bit?

Yeah, it's a common problem.
Stretch it, don't cut/slice it. Or use a large awl or a 'leather' hole punch and a hammer.

Ken has already given you a great suggestion on how to solve the issue and since we're on the matter, I wanted to share a little piece of insight I have learned from my bass player, in respect to having an amazing set of strap locks without the costs and with very little trouble mounting - pretty amazing little trick, I'd say, so if you will feel like having trouble with your new set of strap locks - take a look here:
