> Rules

Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi Tommy! Congrats on your first REC take! I have to say that this is a really good one! The overall is sounding consistent, with a good manage of dynamics and timing. There are only some little details that can be related to the REC light syndrome (which will disappear with practice) or maybe because you need to keep on practicing this one more days.

I notice that some passages and connections are not completely smooth (like at 00:27 or 00:35) and that you have a little timing issue when you descend on the melodies like at 00:43. These are really small details to fix.

As you can see, this is much better than you think, so keep on rocking!

Hello there!

Congrats on your take, mate!

Aside Gabi's observations, I would like to add that some of the chord shifts around 0:21 for instance could be more clear executed, otherwise, I think that if you take the time to implement all these details at a slow speed and then work your way up by recording as many times as it takes until you feel comfortable, you will have a great take!

Keep rocking!

Cosmin

Good take, man. Your timing overall is very strong, with a few minor instances of maybe being in front or behind, nothing major to worry about.

The descending chords at 0:16/0:17 are a little less clean than they could be. I think what happened is your pick hit the A string again instead of the open E.

It's quite hard to get the open E to sound in between each chord but try to get more clarity there if you can.
