Legato and Picking - Beginner, Lesson By Muris Varajic |
|
Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.
The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi Cael,
You are doing a very good job with this one. I notice that your alternate picking is tight and smooth, while your legato still can be smoother. Just check ascending lick starting at 00:19 and your notice that the notes are not going smooth one after the other. This issues can be related to timing but also to the notes duration, that sometimes can be shorter and makes everything sound less smooth. What does this mean? It means that you have to continue working on your legato technique, so please isolate the legato sections, and practice them and also incorporate some other legato exercises. You can find some more here on left hand lessons: LINK Keep rocking. -------------------- My lessons
