Hi everybody! As you can see in my archive, one of my main works here is to create lessons that analyze and re-create the style of your favorite bands and musicians.

The idea is to learn concepts behind their ways of composing and arranging to them apply your favorite ones to your own compositions. At the same time, I consider essential that you make these kind of analysis by yourself, so I'm always open to read your song analysis.

And these are some of the reasons why I think that it's interesting from time to time to ask you about what bands or artists you'd like to be covered in my future lessons.

Shoot your requests here! smile.gif

I've always wanted a "in the style of Psychotic Waltz" lesson, but I realize it's probably not a popular enough band laugh.gif

But maybe the related band (the singer's other band) Deadsoul Tribe:

Great stuff guys! I'm discovering new bands here too. In the last weeks I've been listening a lot to Mastodon, Witchcraft, Russian Circles, Isis and Red Fang, so I can feel that we are connected.... biggrin.gif

Just wanted to post another Psychotic Waltz song. I think they generally have quite a unique sound:

Man, there has been some cool bands posted in here!! Blood Ceremony are a new one to me, Im getting quite into them now - thanks for that smile.gif Deadsoul tribe are not without their charm either, Im liking that as well.

As for lessons, I still think a 70's proggy / Mastodon ( latest alum era ) style would be great.
Maybe some Alex Lifeson styled stuff.
Even some more Pearl Jam would be cool. Especially based around their 'Ten' Album. I recently bought the remaster of this on vinyl. They have brought the guitars into the mix a lot more and the interplay between mike mccready and stone gossard on this record is amazing.

and just add to the list of cool doomy bands that have been posted, incase anyone hasnt heard them ( which would be a shame! ) 'Mount Salem'

hehehe yeah, I'm also enjoying some new bands thanks for this thread. I'm adding all this stuff to my list. I feel that here is is the future of heavy music.

Be sure that Pearl Jam and Rush have been on my list for many time but never had something as good as what they deserve so I will do it when time comes. smile.gif

Yeah! I've been listening to Pelican as well. I'm really enjoying Post-metal bands and I think that they are around that style too. Spotify is great suggesting similar bands. I love it.

Something in the style of Mastodon (any of their albums but preferably one with solos on it) would be great. I was suprised that there's nothing on here in their style.
