> Rules

Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

This is an excellent take, my friend smile.gif

You chose a good tone to use, nice and chunky. Your timing is brilliant and so is your palm muting.

The only thing I think you can improve is the vibrato on the G5 chords at 0:45 and 0:51.

Everything else is solid !

Hello mate, great job with this killer riffing lesson!

I think that your playing is tight on this one, and the sound that you get from your riffing and palm muting is powerful, clear and big. Your tone is different to Mercyful which was more lo fi, but that's not a bad thing, I like how this riffs sound with your tone.

I think that you are ready for trickier rhythm lessons. Keep on the good job!

Your timing excellent - congratulations! You played this take very well and only detail you should focus in order to get it perfect would be adding stronger vibrato to power chords Ben mentioned. Adding vibrato to power chords is a great technique and effective trick to use in songs to give more musicality to flat power chords riffing lines.
