Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi Mark, this is very good stuff.

There are some moments where your timing isn't 100%. You sometimes rush a little bit. This often happens when recording but try not to let it become a bad habit.

Your bend at 0:45 sounds a little too high.. only just. Be careful not to over bend notes. Vibrato can often hide it when we don't get the exact pitch so try to work on combining vibrato with bends.

Overall it's a strong take. You've got good basic skills with timing, bending and vibrato so just keep doing what you're doing and improve these aspects a little bit at a time smile.gif

Hey man! There are some problems with correct pitch when You bend the strings. Those are enough for a live playing (so it's not that bad) but at a studio level there is still a bit You can do to make it closer to the perfect pitch - just a few cents below or above. I mean mostly the 2 or 3 very first bends in this take. Sometimes it might be caused by the rehearsal gear. Just guessing. Try some headphones if You didn't yet. You might easily detect what I mean smile.gif Anyway good take smile.gif

Hi Mark, nice playing on this one.

Your playing is not bad on this take and as the other instructor said, now it's time to work on polishing details regarding timing, vibrato and bending to make your playing sound top level. There are some moments where your playing is not totally tight or where your bends are not reaching the right pitch so it would be good to now put all your focus on these things to polish your overall playing.

Both vibrato and bending problems are related to the pitches that you get, so you have to be careful when you combine both in order to keep your playing on scale and tune.

So, this is not a bad take but more practice combined with some more specific exercises for these techniques is the way to go.

Keep on the hard work.
