Hi MisterM! The funky lesson is already commented HERE.

Stephane's lesson is a great choice! His phrasing is very cool on this one and it will make you polish really tricky licks. I think that you just have to work to polish and make those licks sound clean, but you are not far from it. Looking forward your progress with this one.

I use Fm penta or dorien on the two first chords ans Dm melodic on the Dm7 chord.

I have found other scale but i do not have the name now.

edit: D# mixo and dorien

Cool! As the chord changes are slow there is a lot to experiment with triads, pentatonic and modes over this one. I hope that my last Vchat tips have helped with some new ideas. smile.gif

Im working on writing a song section and Id like to spruce up the rhythm which just walks up the scale. The lead is halfway written and the second half is scalar type playing. Any suggestions on adding more umf or sparkle in both lead and rhythm?

First half is just the rhythm guitar.

Hi jim, I like the groove of this idea. It's still short to give a wide feedback but I can say that it's promising. What would I do with this? I would add drums and if possible bass to start giving shape to the tune to see if the new instruments inspired new arrangements and how to continue the track. Let it grow, and ideas to polish it will come.

Hi Gab, Hi GMC,

I work the Jonathan Burgos's lesson : The Tasty Etude
This music is very beautiful. It is full of subtleties and exudes a great emotion.
This will apply myself to the vibrato variations.
I am eager to learn

I'll post a take in a few days, weeks......

Hi Gab, Hi GMC

The tasty etude is ok, I ll make video soon.
The sound is better with my Ibanez but I lent it to my brother.

I am also working the lesson of Piotr : Jazz Blues Phrasing
This is a level 5 , it will be difficult for me to finalize , but the time will come.
I'll work speed with metronome coming months .

This take is 50% Guitar Rig, = 70/75 BPM
The real speed is 120 BPM...

After the take, I accelerate the video to verify that the notes are played in the time.
It is interesting , that can project me in the coming months

What do you think about it ?
