Hey people cool.gif

Mr. Bleez had a similar topic while ago and I thought I could do the same.

Here's my newest wip (work in progress), have a listen and share your thoughts of it smile.gif

I was planning to make a solo spot in somewhere and some fine tuning on drum fills and maybe add more guitars in some parts

Cheers

Hi WeePee, this song idea is killer. I love how aggressive, modern and groovy all those riffs sound. Also, your guitar tone is very powerful. I love intro, verse, bridge, everything keeps tension to then explode into the chorus. I assume that the chorus is the one starting at 01:10. I like this part, but I wouldn't use it as a chorus, I preffer it more as a musical/solo part. The song deserves a more catchy direction chord progression, don't you think?

This band came to mind:

Great job on your guitar tone!! What are you using for your tone here? Do share smile.gif

Gab has some very good advice here. Building to the chorus is a very good idea. Giving a song a sense of dynamics is important, even Carcass songs have some dynamics in that they "breathe" in terms of tempo. Take a listen to HEARTWORK by carcass and notice that even though it's heavy the entire time, they create tension and release with temp changes so that it builds to the chorus section.

Thanks Gabe and Todd for tips. I listened both songs and I'll keep on working.

Todd:

I have a Seymour Duncan sh-6 on my guitar. I record through ezmix2 and presets 51-vh & 51-dmv panned left and righ. Drive is on 50%. Then there's also a lopass filter smile.gif

Good call on the Low Pass Filter smile.gif On sims and on real amps it's a great way to get a "tight" and crunchy guitar sound smile.gif

that's sounding excellent. Love the riff that kicks in around 0.47 and the descending tail on it around 0.54 - 0.57 is killer.
Drums sound great as well, you always have great drum lines in your stuff. smile.gif
