A poppy Dance track and I can't come up with an interesting guitar part,

Can anyone help me, some cool lines or interesting chord extensions so i'm not just playing 5th power chords.

I'm usually fairly creative but this has left me blank

I'm thinking:-
C# sus2, Bb sus2, Ab sus2 and CM. Then just try some different inversions and find some shapes that fit under the hand nicely!

Sensible Jones shared a video with a great idea on how to make this sound rich on acoustic. Before I checked it I started jamming a bit with the song and I started to create a version in which I would keep the higher strings of the chords and just move the lower ones (maybe the root, fifth and sometimes third). Then I when I heard that it's exactly what the guy did in the arrangement.

Choose one or two notes that sound good over the whole progression and keep them in the higher strings and while changing chords. If the sound would be in Am, my chosen notes would be G and C. You¡ll get different extended chords by adding them to G, F and Em.
