My answer to Phil!

YEAH!! This sounded really good, and your timing progress is of indescribable proportions. Congratulations Rhida!! biggrin.gif

Also you did very well to choose just a short lick and keep it manageable - it will be easy for someone else to pick it up form where you ended.

So who's next? ph34r.gif ( Use this backing track. )

EDIT:

I'm kinda lost tongue.gif

So Rhida answered Phil, so I'm technically the question then, right? blink.gif

Excellent Chris! I am really happy to see some quick Q & A going on!

I would suggest you start with the 00:17 lick instead. This way you will actually answer Rhida.

The way it is now, I get more the impression that you are echoing Rhida's question - since your intro line (at 00:12) is so similar to his ending line.

yeah !!! nice stuff !! yes it sound good !!!

ho, i have an idea......some minutes later...

it's full of faults, bu i love to share it !

Laurent

I like it Laurent - gave me SRV vibes! I think it's great you work with a distorted tone as well - as it tends to make us play differently and give us new ideas. Currently I am playing a lot with a clean tone, which I don't usually do - and it makes me play differently.

Cool - I think this kind of response should work well.

I will mix some more and see if we can take the track in a new direction. Watch this space!

Let's go experimental! ph34r.gif

Attached File  Q_n_A_V5.mp3 ( 6.18MB ) Number of downloads: 76

The new section at 02:55 is a completely different genre (as you can hear), but you can still play E minor pentatonic (and E minor scale).

Some suggestions:

* Record a short response (maybe around 5-10 seconds)

* Leave plenty of room before and after your take, so that several others can continue the call and response using the file you uploaded. So don't just export the part where you play.

* please also send me the "guitar only" file, starting from point 0, without any reverb/delay effects (preferably a wav file)

I am really excited to see if you guys get any ideas over this new section!

Awesome to hear you like it. I was a bit afraid it would be perceived as too crazy to throw in a completely different musical style.

Looking forward to hear what you come up with!
