Thank you very much, Gabriel. I keep practicing on combining all and also on faster tempos.
Here's a take with the three patterns combined on the backing track but at the moment I can't continue during all the backing track duration, I must work more !

https://soundcloud.com/david-enrique-20/timingexercice3-70-patternmix

This is on the right track but there is still room to make the patterns sound tighter. Keep working!

Hi Laurent! You are doing a very good job with this exercises. Your playing is consistent on each of the audios that you've shared here. There are some little moments where your playing is not tight but most of the time your playing is tight. Keep on the good job!

Hi laurent, your playing is tight on this samples, well done. However, patterns 2 and 3 are sounding the same. You are playing pattern 2 on both audios, do you notice it?

Hi Laurent, please re-check the guitar pro file. Both patterns 2 and 3 can sound the same when you loop them but depending on where you play the 8th note you'll be playing one of the other. On this audio sample, you start with an 8th note while the pattern starts with 2 16ths. As you play it as a loop, all the 8th notes are played over the strong beat of the measure (kick and snare).

Does it make sense?

Hello Gab,

Here is another, sorry but this slipped my mind too, i got into the feelings collab, you know what I'm like once I get into one of those, everything else goes out of the window biggrin.gif rolleyes.gif

https://soundcloud.com/gmcphil-1/patterns-1-2-3-100-bpm-3

I do agree 100% with your comments to Laurent, it can be confusing when looping #2 and #3 licks, kind of an aural illusion smile.gif

Cheers

Good job Phil! Just put more attention on going tighter, but the patterns are clear and defined. Well done!

Unfortunately you are still playing pattern 2 instead of 3. Please check this post and listen to patterns 2 and 3 to hear the difference: LINK

Thanks Gab,

I think the tightness will come with playing over and over. Will we be getting another assignment or should we wait until these are perfect?

Cheers
