Awesome stuff guys!! I like the 3 tunes that you've build, the original background, Laurent's take and also the new take by Alex which is so cinematic! You guys could build a collab together!

I'd like to know what effects used Laurent for your take and also Alex on this new one....

Hi Gab, thanks for the feedback.
Can't remember the effects i 've used. It's ans old preset i've made. There's a big reverb. I should watch for the others. I work again on my last track to aim a lengh around 2'30. I will add a 2nd guitar track and a drum.

Interesting guys. Yeah, Big Reverb and Chorus are the first effects that come to mind when creating music with guitar for dark pictures.

I think that it's time for a new picture, what do you think?

I'm so sad about the incident that happened at Bucharest and what our friends Cosmin and Monica are suffering. In honor to the friends that they lost and to send positive vibes and thoughts to the ones who are still fighting to get better, let's make a small tribute and create music for them...

this is the new picture:

This is going to be from the heart not necessarily picture orientated. I think, for me, maybe an uplifting song to give hope to the survivors and strength to the families and friends of the lost souls.

I love it mate. Once I played Silent Hill game and had the same feeling that this composition. That feeling of mystery and fear... something bad is going to happen but not sure when... EPIC work. Congrats.

PS: You should upload it to youtube.

Yesi've replaced it by this last. I've just add some delay to the sound FX and mix them lower.

Hi Laurent, I like this composition. Your phrasing is sad and at the same time has some parts in which your phrasing is not sure on what to say.... and that's totally related to the picture. The words about the incident are sad, but at the same time, there are no words to say... so that uncertainly feeling is totally welcome for this composition. I would just re learn the solo and adjust the parts that are not well played but the composition is perfect.

About the mix, I would put your guitar a bit softer, and more mixed/compressed with the backing.

Hello Gab,

Ok, I've been really struggling to do this, nothing seems to be appropriate. I've come up with an idea, I'd like the guitar to be softer but I haven't had chance to go into my effects yet. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks Gab.

Hi Phil, interesting tune man. I like the background effect and what your guitar is suggesting with those melodies. I would work a bit on your guitar tone / effects to make your guitar fit better with the background. Musically this sounds great.
