Here's what I've done.
Guitar, Hydrogen for drums and soundFX.

Don't like how the mp3 compress it.
https://soundcloud.com/user-280506716/insomia-mp3

The same on YT

Title is not matching with the picture because the track is allowed to another project too.

This sounds really cool Alex! I'm amazed of the quality that you guys provide here and how musical this thread is.

I like the composition but also like how you managed sounds and fx. Does your guitar has some kind of ambiance fx? How did you get that cool tone? At first I thought that this tune doesn't include guitars.

Hi,

You're not the only one who asked me this question.

First I record the guitar with a clean tone. In that track, I've chosen 7th chords and minor 7h chords.
After I made a superposition of the same track, using some different effects for each track. (essentially Delays, Echo)
I've the final sound in my head but not yet a plan to create it, so, I make tries.
I use sampling technic too.

After, I record a simple melody, few notes. I superpose the tracks.

I make a drum part with Hydrogen, I post prod it in Reaper.

And I add sound FX (I download it on internet, and I modify them).

But the only materials to make this track are : My J5 Telecaster, Hydrogen, Sound FX and some effects.

It's very artisanal in fact biggrin.gif

I have a new experiment for this week. What about making music inspired by quotes?

This is the one that we will take as inspiration this week.

As ever with me Gab, I get an idea quite quickly but sometimes getting it to my fingers take a long time if at all and sometimes it's immediate. I'm still thinking wink.gif
