> Rules

Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi mad! This is a very good take! I'm impressed by the quality of your tone, it's killer! The only detail that could be better is the pattern at 00:45 that is then repeated. It's not totally clear, and it's less clear when it's played with drums. But well, it's a very little detail, the take is top level!

Congratulations!

Yo M! This is a heavy, chuggy take!

I like the wall of guitar tone you've got going on. I also agree with Gabriel's comments about that lick. I think the last note of the sequence is getting lost.. that's what it sounds like to me anyway.

The staccato riffing in the 2nd half of the lesson could also be a bit tighter. I can hear a few places where the guitars don't quite synch up. Apart from those 2 things, it's good stuff!

Really nice take! Well matched tone and lots of tight playing here. I've spotted jus ta few moments where timming could be better. Aside from this I have nothing to complain smile.gif
