The specs on this new guitar processor from Line6 don't seem to quite come up to the level of an AxeFX or Kemper, but at $1500 it costs less than those. However it appears to be a big step up from the guitar processors currently available in the sub-$1000 range.

Yeah lots of talk going on about it now, I guess price points of kemper, axe is a bit too high for them as they're more into the crowded market.

I somehow see this as rising the bar where their HD500 was staying but not racing with anything like the axe fx...we're probably looking at the base of future processors, the focus seems to be ease of use and screen design coolness. So many things changed since the iphone biggrin.gif

That's a good point. Now that I've owned both a Kemper and an AxeFX, I'm convinced amp modeling is already as good as it needs to be. There might be a little room to improve the tone with an AxeFX, but not much. However, there is plenty of room to improve how you interact with it to get to respond to your wishes, whether it's editing a preset to get the tone you're after, or controlling it while you're playing to get to do what you want while performing.

I hope it's not just a high priced POD HD. For the money they are charging, it's triple the cost of their previous rack unit, it better RAWK. Cool color screen and such smile.gif And cool looking pedal board. But the proof will be in the pudding. I look forward to hearing it smile.gif

It looks fantastic, I love the new modern and minimalist design. I would get one just to looking at it while I practice... hahaha

I'm curious to know the sound improvements....

IDK. That seems like a lot of dough for a Line 6 product.
You can get an Axefx for a grand on Ebay.

I actually had the same thought. If I was going to blow 1k+ on a single item, I doubt it would say "Line 6" on it, but I"m open to being blown away by it if it just RAWWWWKKKSSS smile.gif I've never liked the line 6 high gain tones though so it has something to prove for me.

A used Eleven Rack for $300 could replace your pc with guitar rig 5. For a while it sorta replaced mine smile.gif It just became easier and quicker to use the 11 rack than to launch the daw/plugins etc. Similar to using an amp. Just turn it on.
