Just got back from a meal with my good lady and much ale and wine,

Installed Toontrax EZmix, spent over half an hour trying to sort out why I couldn't get the signal from my guitar to come through the speakers, ASIO settings, input/output, uninstall, re-install a couple of times, re-boot etc etc. mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif

Hadn't got the bloody cable plugged into the guitar laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

Lol man this happened to me numerous times on stage and in studio. Each time I'd find out what is the exact issue, I would just play cool and pretend as if it was something too complicated to explain in details laugh.gif I'd just nod and say, OK I got it smile.gif

...and it would be just plugging in the the cable, electric cable or turning the volume knob up on the guitar smile.gif

I was a plonker as well when I was playing with a "teacher" (he's not really a teacher, but just someone I play with every thursday). My guitar wasn't making any sound, and I said: "it must be the battery of the pickups", "It must be the cable" etc. Then 5 minutes later I realized I had turned the killswitch on.

You'd be surprised how often I do this... although I've never gone to the point of uninstalling stuff laugh.gif

But if it makes you feel better I managed to urinate on myself today. So there you go.

Plonker is such a good word, Phil, by the way. I had to use it in another thread!

Maybe you're just getting old? Losing control...

EDIT: I'm not sure that even makes sense... the heat here has gone to my head it seems.

Ben, please clarify and I'm being a pedant now rolleyes.gif . Did you urinate on yourself or did you urinate yourself???? Big difference smile.gif I can't see how you can urinate on yourself without knowing how but I can see that you could urinate yourself and not realise how you did it.

Please, other people can ignore us, we are founding members of The English Language Pedentary Society laugh.gif

Cheers

That's ok - it is an important distinction.

I was in the act of going to pee and I peed on myself somehow.... rolleyes.gif

I LOVE the EX MIX 2 pack as it works for everything smile.gif For getting good tones quickly so you can focus on writing it's perfect! Good presets for GUITAR, BASS, DRUMS, and presets for the entire MIX BUS!! It's like the swiss army knife of plugins smile.gif If I could only pick one plugin that would be the one. smile.gif

IT does a fine job on low distortion stuff too and on accoustic guitars! Share some of your recordings with us smile.gif I really dig some of the lead patches to and they stack well!
