1rst Take

I've some difficulty to get a good tone
I shall to work Timing, palm muting and Alternate picking

I used 2 preset :

- Rythm : http://ahp.li/cb891124ac8cada5be5b.png

Hi mate, good job. Here are some comments:

- I think that there is some groove and dynamics work that will be improved by moving your right hand in a different way. Sometimes with a wider movement (for stronger strums) and also keeping and up and down motion (more groove). Check my right hand and compare it with yours.

- Your muting tends to be so soft, or not be there in most of the riffs. Check out the verse's lead guitar and compare it with the original lesson. Yours seems to be played without muting. Try to find a more effective place where you put the palm of your right hand for muting.

- Chord changes in rhythm guitar: The changes could me smoother. Keep on practising this. Have in mind that a guitarist in a real band situation is most of the time changing chords than soloing, so it's very important to dedicate practice time to this.

- I would try the lead guitar in chorus with the neck pick up, to make it sound more Slashy.

That's all by now.

Hi Gab

New take
I tried with Ibanez.

What do you think about it ?

I worked the chords but I again have to work the palm muting on riff
I compared 2 take and I preferred the sound of the gisbon I hope that I am going to find even preset setting

Hi mate,

Yes, the Gibson sounds better to emulate Slash style riffs. It's what we are used to hear so it's felt more suitable. The chord changes on this new take are a lot better! Good job with it. The palm muting riff is not sounding good, you are not reaching the right rhythm with alternate picking. Try to practice it slower first to be sure that you are playing the right pattern.

Hi mate, this is better! But there is some kind of different accentuation in your way of playing the main riff. Please re-check it and let me know if you can hear what I mean.

Hi Gab

I have a problem with the tone.
During all the morning I tried various setting preset and I have a horrible tone.

I listen to your track guitar, it is sound great.
I don't understand how it's possible to obtain this sound on the 1rst riff with only hybrit and TS808 vst ?

Hi mate! So you were missing the cabinet emulation. Great to know that your tone is much closer now. I think that your playing also improved a lot on this one. However there is still some room to adjust the timing and accentuation of the main riff and the lead guitar in the verse.

I think that it's ok to share the video at REC and see some other opinions from instructors.

Your current routine looks very good. It covers different elements that are essential for guitarists. Are there any vids coming?
