Hi MisterM! Great to have both videos here at the same post.

I can say that I note really significant improvements. At first I notice that your new take is groovier, the overall timing feel better, more related with the backing. I also note that your bending work is better, there are some 1/4 bends that wasn't on the previous one, and most of the bends are reaching the right pitch. Your vibrato also feels more consistent and connected with the backing.

There are some specific licks that are tighter on the previous take but the overall playing is better on the new one. About the tone, I think that the new one has more presence and definition which is good, however there is some warm feeling on the previous one that I miss on this one. Are you using the same pick up? I cannot see the selector on the second take.

Hi Gab

Thank you

Yes I played with a bridge pickup.
Several licks don't sound good when I play with the neck pickup

Today, I got back my stratocaster
The instrument maker (luthier) has to change my frets for stainless steel frets.
I think I'll make a new take with it.

Hi MisterM! This is really good. I think that it will definitely pass at the REC program. Your playing is precise and everything sounds in pitch and well player. There is some more room to feel the licks more natural while playing, but that's just a matter of time.

About the new lesson, GREAT choice.

The licks are more fluid and I feels better the rhythm

1rst Take : 6 days of hard work

I am a little bit nervous because it is new for me.

Hi mate! Nervous? Really, I can't note it.

The lesson is on the right track. I can see that you'll get familiar soon with those licks if you continue with you diary practice. It's interesting to see you playing uncommon phrases. I think that it will have a positive impact in your overall playing. Keep going!

I'll grade your take at REC.

Hi MisterM, I think that this is really good! Your playing is good along the whole solo. There are not really relevant issues on this one so I think that you are on the right track. I would continue playing this one to get more comfortable, and I would also experiment creating variations of these licks to get the most of the lesson.

What are your thoughts about the take?

Hi Gab

I think that this style of blues corresponds to the music which I like,
I like this playing on the minor and major pentatonic scales.
Diminished Arpeggios is a new thing for me.
It's very interesting to understand How Chris Built the track

I am proud of this take because when I watched lesson I thought that the technique was too high for me
I know that even with a lot of work, he will be hard to do better,
I shall like presenting it has Rec Section to have the opinion of others coach.

If you tell me : it is not ready.
I shall still work a few days but I want to learn something else.
At present, I want to learn a lot, because I understood that it gives me progress,
I gain confidence in me and I have the impression that I am on the right way.

Nice words mate! I also think that you are on the right track with your practice. Your progress is one of the most amazing I've seen here at GMC. The takes are always ready for REC because the only purpose for that program is to receive feedback from different instructors in order to monitor and give your practice the right direction, so go for it!

cool thk you Gab

Edit : I worked on this morning

step 1 :
I found chord progression, it's very funny to play on BT No guitar

Step2 :
I worked alternate picking. This isn't as esay it looks
Also, I think that the level is higher than 3, I think level 4 would more be adapted

Step3 :
I tried poulain vst but, my SG tone is cleaner with guitar rig
I will used without delay, I will add after in audacity with your setting

I'll make a take soon smile.gif
